H&S has released new impellers for aquabee pumps. With these new refreshed impellers this allows for a more energy efficient pump, along with running quieter. The shaft is attached permanently to the impeller, and the bearings are inside the silicone bushings. Both old design and new design pumps and impellers have parts available. Air performance is the generally the same. Price should be the same for a replacement impeller.
