IMAC lives! Now known as IMAC West

The International Marine Aquarium Conference which was formerly produced by Dennis Gallager in Chicago will now have new handlers and a new home. The 2008 IMAC was billed as “The Last IMAC” but at the insistance of Frank Burr, Dennis Gallagher agreed to bequeath the IMACÂ legacy to Burr and his Fourreef Consortium associates. IMAC West will take place July 31 to August 2, 2009 and the event will likely be held at the Queen Mary in Long Beach California. Seeing that IMAC was the one of the reef events with the most heart, it gives us great pleasure to see that the IMAC torch will continue to burn brightly. We’ll report back with developments on the event as they become available.
How much are tickets? Hotels in the area?

I dont know man, the site is still new, you’ll have to keep an eye on it and/or snoop around.
