Vitrea Orbital Cube nano aquarium is the next challenger to the Elos mini

Vitrea, which we’ve been keeping tabs on for a while now since they released their LED lighting system has recently released their new catalog chock full of new Vitrea products. The first one we’d like to show you is a new cube design featuring a rimless style nano aquarium. This is part of their Orbital collection, this specific aquarium called the Orbital Cube features their Orbital LED lighting unit mounted on top which comes in black, white, grey or red color hues. The saltwater version of this cube includes a 72 watt Orbital LED lighting array featuring 60 LEDs to shine down upon your reef. The Orbital Cube holds up to 100 liters of water or around 26 gallons and you can opt for the sump which matches and slides down below into the stand. We aren’t sure if these will ever be imported into the US, but at the rate Vitrea is releasing products it wouldn’t be to far fetched to see a large distributor spring up here in North America. Retail is unknown at this time.

Holy detritus that kit is absolutely gorgeous! The full coverage LED light defnitely looks like a step up from the fully capable E-lite, hopefully it will have more functionality though. Let’s hope we see some of these setups in the US real soon.

You could squeeze a full footprint fuge on the bottom of that stand and your filtration sump on the shelf. Interesting…
The look is really faux-clinical though – makes me feel like I am in the cosmetics department at Bloomingdales…
