		<description>I would see it that about 1 month out of the year when the sun rose in just the right spot to get between a couple of trees and through a window, when the tank was over on the south side of the house.   Sunlight would zap through in the morning hours, leaving a completely bad ass rainbow shimmer line effect (take that halides!) and yeah the blue corals did look a bit more purple :D

I notice this in my Oregon tort looks purple in direct sunlight. I have my tank next to a window with very thick shades. I open them about 1 weekend a month and turn my lights off.  </description>

		<description>The blue comes from the lack of red pigments that are typically overwashed in your aquarium bulbs I&#039;m guessing.   I have a few &quot;blue torts&quot; that when I pull the rocks out for heavy duty fragging, I see they&#039;re actually purple in sunlight.    Really makes me want to setup a sunlight tube over the tank too if it wasn&#039;t for the fact the algae would potentially like it too!
