So is everyone saying that the Bare bones dosers from BRS are reliable? Just wondering cuz Im about to invest and probably have to decide between the two units we are discussing…

American made? Not really. The pumphead is made by Williamson Pumps in the UK.

The GHL ProfiLux dosers far outshine these small units, admittedly more expensive but can be upgraded to 4 pumps in one box and can dose ML as little as 1ml in 24 hours to a max of 1ml a second, or you can use the timed mode. All controlled by the built in digital controller. perfect for two part and balling

As far as credit for innovation goes, it belongs to APT. BRS didn’t design or manufacture it. APT designed and built it.

I was thinking the same thing. And when they write “itâ€™s about time the hobby had access to a basic dosing pump.”, I feel it does a disservice to BRS that has had it out for some time now.

Forgive me if I’m mistaken, but I don’t see a difference in design or cost from the BulkReefSupply Drew’s dosing pump. The TB Aquatics site shows that it comes only with a bit of standard airline tubing, which most people would throw out anyways in favor of a peristaltic tubing.
