Fauna Marin’s new ZeoMatic 2 Zeolith reactor
9 Comments

Fauna Marin has released their new Zeo matic 2 and we should be able to place orders for it next month. This Zeomatic 2 features a self cleaning system with both water and air cleaning. You won’t need an extra air pump as the reactor includes aquabee pumps that handle the job quite nicely. The Zeo Matic 2 comes in either a 2.5 liter ($1,200) or 4.5 ($1,400) liter version with quality you’ve come to expect from the motherland of Germany. This is a special order item so you’ll need to contact your favorite Fauna Marin dealer to place an order.

That’s cool, but $1200? I may be missing something, but it looks like it could be DIY’d with a regular media reactor and a couple pumps and pieces of pipe for under $150.

Yep I acknowledge the price is a bit of a shoadow, but as with all things in life quality is not cheap. The Aqua bee pumps costs us a lot with the required mods to make this work.

Looks like it uses a skimmer pump to clean the stones. Time will tell if it works well.

My understanding is this unit has been tested on Fauna marins own aqua culture development center systems for quite sometime, they are not known for releasing anything that does not work really well. This was developed during last year and I know Claude has been in no hurry over getting this launched as he wanted it to be perfect.
I will see if Claude will release a unit for client evaluation at discount to a RB mamber.

Hi Guys
Wow RB is really fast , to fast for me sometimes
The price is surely a missunderstanding cause there is not yet a finish price for the US version out and it is surly not 1200 USD
Give me some days then i can post the correct price

Looks like it could work as hob or in sump, if not any plans for a hob version?
