EcoSmart Driver Pricing and upgrade paths for MP10, MP20, MP40 Vortech pumps

The EcoSmart Driver is scheduled to be released at the end of this Month by retailers in the United States. However, what about those folks in other countries such as the United Kingdom or European Union? Ecotech Marine says that they began shipping international products before the official announcement so most suppliers will receive their units in line with US retailers, which is very good news. Here is how US pricing is laid out and for our International readers don’t forget to factor in VAT. Hopefully this guide will clear up all the confusion that our readers we’re having.

MP40
Full price for the MP40w EcoSmart upgrade is $100
(This is discounted to $75 for all customers until April 30th)

MP20
You need to purchase a MP40 Power Supply $50
MP40w EcoSmart upgrade is $100
(remember the this is discounted to $75 until April 30th)

MP10
Full price for the MP10w (wireless) EcoSmart upgrade $85
Full Price for the MP10ES (non-wireless) upgrade $55
(no discount)

Whats up with that the people who just spent 300 on a MP20 dont matter enough to get a rebate. Thats seems a little shady to me I just hooked it up right before I found this post. I thought “cool new Ecotech Toy for me to play with” then I read they are giving new MP40 owners a rebate if they buy one. THATS BULLS**T!!!!! What about us peasants who just spent their hard earned loot on a MP20

There is another MP10 option on the EcoTech site that isn’t listed here. If you want the ES driver upgrade without wireless, it is only $55.

Todd, the reason that the MP20 doesn’t receive anything is because it isn’t an MP20 upgrade. It’s made for the MP10 and MP40. The mp20 will remain and be sold the way it is, but the MP10 and MP40 will now be sold in ES models instead of the older model.

For those that do not know. The original ES driver upgrades for the MP40w pumps have been known to be lacking the autotune feature and the night time mode is poorly timed. My night time mode has gradually shifted to the daytime midday. Still awaiting a replacement for upgrading to the new drivers which doesn’t work as advertised.
