The AI Nano Sol LED is a very exciting new product from AquaIllumination, the LED performance leaders, which first brought Cree XP goodness to the aquarium world. Following on the widespread popularity of their AI Sol LED, AquaIllumination has put together a half-stack version called the Nano Sol bringing along with it some custom touch controls for each of the channels on the tricolor LED puck. The AI Nano Sol LED will have an MSRP of $365 and hopefully start shipping in the next month. Check the break for lots more angles on this beautiful evolution of our favorite high powered LED reef light.

    This is very nice…

Are they using the same optics as before or for the smaller fixture using maybe wider 60 or 80 degree optics?

$365 is a great price for a nano LED tank lighting unit. Makes for a great alternative.

This will probably be the halide killer. MH fixture+Chiller= Dent in wallet& Expensive power bill(do the math). A good chiller runs around $300+, and MH fixture be it a DIY or an “all-in-one” will run you about $150-1K+ depending on the size of your tank(and the yearly lamp replacement). Aside from the (predictable)inevitable death of the Halide I am hyped because I am looking for lighting for my new reef tank(replacing my 24 gal aquapod) “Coming this Christmas to a house not near you!” basically this provides 24 hours of brilliant lighting and no heat. This will most likely be compatible with AI’s controller and other computer software. Very nice overall. Great design; very modern and futuristic looking.
