We always love great demo videos and this is a nifty one showcasing the power of the new Elos Evision controller. From an internet kiosk at the Aquarama show floor in Singapore, Elos owner Nicola Gandini taps into the controller LED system over an aquarium at the Elos offices in Italy. Take note of how when Nicola adjusts the RGB sliders, you can immediately see the changes live online half a world and a hemisphere away. Granted, you’ll probably want to do more than just adjust the RGB colors but after the novelty wears off, the Elos Evision looks to have some pretty cool features to access remotely.

Why springs to mind, ditch the feature and make it half the price…

    Totally agree Jeff.

Elos has dropped the ball big time. Their first run of equipment was on the right track, but, quickly lost steam. I feel as though Elos is in fact the Ed Hardy of the aquarium industry.

I can control my whole tank via my ProfiLux from anywhere that has an internet connection, even lately bringing it back to life from the UK when a snail tripped my overflow sensor.

Buy an Apex, Build your own fixture or buy an AI, and you can also remotely control your LED lights. I have been doing it for over a year now…I even have presets from different color temp “looks”.

I agree, bring the price down on this stuff already and stop trying to amaze me with things like remote control and lightning (yes, i did spell that correctly as I meant the kind that accompanies thunder – as opposed to lightening) :)
