This was due out 2 years ago.  Too little, too late.

    Eh-
Neptune Systems updates firmware every few months or so with new features and what not :)

@mrbunnyfeet – The only feature that was delayed from this recent release was the updates to the AI interface; as we posted many times we were waiting on AI to supply us the new fixture so we could test.  The delay on that feature was about 3-4 months for the reasons stated.

All controller companies that have updatable firmware post releases somewhat often, some major and some minor, this one happens to be a mix. We’re extremely excited about being able to offer continued feature updates at no cost to our customers that have had ReefKeeper Elites for as long as three years and RKLs for two or more. With new features can come some bugs or areas for improvement or refining; we try to get those posted as needed or rolled into these periodic updates.

This recent group of updates (posted above) is the latest that we’ve offered. There are no other current updates scheduled but as these versions find their way into ReefKeeper systems new and old we’re looking forward to the reports from customers using the new firmware/software.

Again, we’d like to thank all our customers who provide constructive/useful feedback, suggestions, and ideas! It’s that input that helps us build better, more feature rich products for you!

Please visit our support forum http://www.forum.digitalaquatics.com to get the new updates if you don’t already have them.

    Thank you,
    DA

Why are people such dicks to DA… So you don’t have a DA controller so you decided to talk shit on them because you happen to have a preference to another controller….. I love my reefkeeper I sure as hell don’t sit and wait for apex news and try and bash it! Jackasses get a life!!!

Apex doesn’t lie to their customers.

Many of the people who don’t care very much for DA did own their controllers, or still do.  I myself have/had several DA products including the RKE and RKL.  Needless to say, after getting tired of bugs, delays, marketing twist tactics, and the lack of features and progress, I switched most of my systems over to the Apex line.

The people who are acting like dicks do need to get a life, but you need to stop making the assumption that those who are complaining have never used a DA controller before. I’m one of them, not too happy about their buggy product or their service.

    LOL.
“being able to offer continued feature updates at no cost to our customers”

I know of not one company that charges for firmware updates, so stop saying it like you are doing your customers a favor. Do them a real favor and hammer out the endless problems with your controllers. The salinity probe debacle was the biggest joke I ever saw.

“It’s that input that helps us build better, more feature rich products for you”

Feature rich? You mean like teh Tunze control you finally have? Or the Vortech control you refuse to comment on? I wish it didn’t come to such negative feedback towards your company, but you alone did it. I have owned your Elite controller after buying into the hype and secrecy you built around it for a year prior to its release. After 2 years of not even controlling Tunzes, I threw the towel in on it.
