Sneak peek at the prototype Calcium Checker from Hanna
By Jake Adams on Jun 15, 2011
The Calcium Checker from Hanna could be the easy-to-use colorimeter for calcium testing that reef aquarists and LFS employees have always dreamed of. For those reef aquarium water testers who are either color blind or lack sensitivity between blue and pink, the gradual color change of all titrated calcium test kits has been a bane and when it comes down to it, we all have a slightly different idea of when the color has completely changed.
Thankfully, Hanna has answered the calls for a digital solution to the analog titration problem and coupled with their popular alkalinity checker, the Calcium Checker could be in even higher demand than the now widely used Phosphate Checker. Check back in a couple days when we’ve had a chance to thoroughly test the Calcium Checker, but the full kit is pictured after the break.
