Labyrinth Aquarium makes other aquariums jealous

By on Jun 18, 2011

Rectangular tanks or other normal  sized reef tanks are a thing of the past and boring. It is time to step up to the Labyrinth Aquarium. This unique aquarium is designed for freshwater with several large globes that have all been interconnected. The whole aquarium is designed out of acrylic with silk plants, 3 lights, filters, air pumps and cleaning equipment included in the deal. “The 3 lights are doughnut shaped and are placed underneath the black central hoods.” This Labyrinth of water needs a very unique stand with options available in cherry, black or carbon fiber while they conceal the lighting and filtration components of the aquarium.  We don’t have a specific size of water displacement but we have confirmed that the Labyrinth tank will set you back $6500 not including fish or water.  Admit it. You are tempted. Did we mention you get free shipping?

I have to admit it’s not aesthetically pleasing to me personally, while I can they would make an impressive artistic display in an office or entertainment section of a home, I think most “hardcore” aquarists would still opt for a traditional design where they can more easily recreate a natural biotope.

Honestly, for 6500$, I would just get a custom made glass box.

This ranks up there as one of the dumbest, most impractical, and ugliest tanks I’ve seen (for starters, cleaning it would take hours), and that price tag is outrageous.  I’d be shocked if they sold more than two of these.

Upscale these so that the globes have about a 50 foot diameter and give me some scuba gear. Then I’ll pay $6,500.

horrible design, not only for the animals (not allot of surface area) but also for the aquarist, could you image trying to clean that thing?

There are some very cutting-edge, innovative and remarkable products sold in this industry- it’s pretty obvious that this isn’t one of them.
