Panorama Pro fixture from Ecoxotic is a skinny little number

With the old Panorama fixture out of stock, it was a pretty safe bet we’d see a new Panorama Pro fixture from Ecoxotic and here it is. The New Panorama Pro fixture is about an inch and half thick, with plenty of room to house both the new Panorama Pro LED modules and the included reflectors. The 18″ New Panorama Pro fixture comes with three modules for $399 and the 24″ version comes with five Panorama Pro LED modules for $499.

Since the Panorama Pro modules can share a power supply there is much less unused space in the new Panorama Pro fixture than the old one, and the skinny new LED light from Ecoxotic practically disappears in profile when viewed over a tank. One of the cool features we’ve already spotted about the new light is that the Panorama modules can slide from side to side, allowing you to squeeze in more modules if you want them, and to have asymmetrical lighting distribution for focusing light over your reefscape. Ecoxotic is still setting up so we’ll come back around to find out when the New Panorama Pro fixture will be available.

I like it but kind of what I expected. The price is super competitive so that is a major plus! I wish they made a 12″ version because I think the 18″ version would look funny over my 24g Nano Cube. But I have the original hood on still and hide all the equipment in that.

I really like the Ecoxotic LEDs. They are a very good company to work with as well.

I wonder if two of the 24 inch models would be enough for a 4ft 120gallon tank.

@ heath….no way…..just bought one…..and it blows up one third of my 50 gal……..it is awesome but you are paying for the color variation…. i love it but not worth the money and certainly would not come near anything close to what you want with your 120 gal Heath

With enough modules I would say yes. I have one Panorama PRO module over my 24g tank and it is plenty of light for my LPS. I will still be adding another PRO module and some stunners to complete the lighting but so far I really like the PRO modules.

My tank is like 18″ tall and I have plenty of light at the bottom of my tank right. Throw on the reflector and 24″ should be no problem.

Did you buy the new Panorama PRO modules or the old Panorama fixture? I don’t think the new fixture shown here is even available yet, but maybe it is.

Updates? When will these be available? I am shocked we only saw one story about this.

Ecoxotic tested some fixtures at MACNA and were hitting 240 PAR at 24″ in ORA’s tank.
