CAD Lights new cone skimmers are efficient, quiet and made in the USA

The CAD Lights new Cone Skimmers share a design with many OEM skimmers but these fractionators are made in America and more machined parts than molded ones. The new cone skimmers have an OEM pump for which CAD Lights designs a soft needle wheel impeller and volute and the body is made from high quality cell cast acrylic, not injection molded plastic or seamed in any way.

CAD Lights prides their skimmer designs on efficiency and very quiet operation with the two smaller models producing only 5dB and the larger unit still squeaks by with 7dB. The three skimmer models are currently enjoying introductory pricing of $220, $330 and $440 and more details on sizing and performance is available on the CAD Lights website.

    I like that they quantified the sound production. +7 dB over ambient is quite a bit louder than 5 dB though.
