Tuna Blue A350 LED light teased on the Kessil website

By on Feb 21, 2012

The Tuna Blue A350 LED light from Kessil is a larger version of the A150w LED aquarium spotlight which probably builds on the foundations of the h350 LED grow light. Following on the wide success of the Kessil A150w LED, we expect that the new A350 LED light will have the same form factor and vapor heatsink as the h350 LED, but with the “Tuna Blue” moniker a likely indicator that this light has a tunable feature of the LED’s coloration, intensity or both. With ReefStock only a few weeks away and Kessil attending as an exhibitor, it’s a safe bet we may see the new Tuna Blue LED light from Kessil very soon.

Or it’s just the blue color of a tuna at depth :)

Granted not much to go by, but considering their horticulture lights didn’t differ in functionality too much, no reason to expect the “350″ series will either.

I have seen this page in their site for a while now and wondered what it was all about.  A couple of contact attempts still didn’t solve the mystery.  Hope these rumors pan out some as I reall like the A150w’s.  Jake, your not just trying to boost ticket sales are you ;)

That’s not 350 watts, is it? I don’t want it to burn through the bottom of my tank and penetrate the Earth’s crust.

Not 350watts, just like the A150W is not 150W and having talked with the Kessil guys it doesn’t even mean “150W equiv”

Going by their grow light specs the A350 will be 90W though.

    Sen sational!
Is that a small fan i spy in the back of the exploded A350 diagram?Despite “advanced vapour cooling management system” it’s difficult to imagine how a light sporting 2.5x the power output of the A150 could dissipate that much heat passively.
I was contemplating three or four A150′s for my 6 footer but hopefully two of these can do the job.
Imagine how trick they’ll look gooseneck mounted!

I figured it wasn’t real watts, I just wish these manufacturers would make their names a little more meaningful.

AI has the right idea: Sol, Sol Blue, Nano. And there’s Apex, Apex Lite and Apex Jr. I’m writing this from an iPad 2, not an iPad XR30Wes. I love Ecotech, but they lead the way in letter inflation.
