AquaDigitalLife is a computer-aided, all-in-one automation, maintenance and monitoring hub

By on Jul 05, 2012

AquaDigitalLife is new monitorning, automation and maintenance hub for your aquarium taking high-tech advances to make aquarium maintenance to the next level for larger aquariums. Sure you could hook this puppy up to a nano system but it would be better suited for larger systems where monitoring and automation would make the investment worth while. The computer-aided center was developed in Russia and is using high-tech monitoring devices along with fully automated control of water levels and parameters, water changes, and emergency standby pumps to name a few. Make sure you click through to see the video demonstation.

The touch screen computer makes easy access to all the AquaDigitalLife features plus the WiFi connection means you don’t need to hardwire it to the Internet to access the advanced programming and monitoring capabilities. Speaking of Internet features, not only can the system be controlled by any computer or device with internet connectivity.

We aren’t sure exactly how much the AquaDigitalLife system will cost but we imagine it will definitely take a larger reefing budget to buy into this system. Between this and the Oceanlife display system we brought you last week, aquarium control and automation is going to the next level. The video is pretty snazzy but we didn’t seen any actual images of the system on the website. We’ll definitely keep our eyes on this and would hopefully be able to get a more hands-on look at the AquaDigitalLife in the future.

sounds awesome but my guess it will cost as much as a small kia.

If this ever comes to market, it will be a slick all-in-one system – mainly for very large installations due to the cost. Two features mentioned are really nice (electrode-less conductivity probe and ultrasonic water level sensors) but the reason you don’t see them on the consumer controllers is because they are quite spendy…the conductivity probe itself is used for commercial water applications and costs several hundred dollars alone (if someone has a source dramatically cheaper, please let me know).

I think we will be seeing a lot of advances in this space in the next 12 months.

So now we are going to rely on Russian technology. No I dont have much confidence in russia. Its a third world country with a superpower military that uses stolen technology.

what part of my comment is not true

What’s your definition of “third world,” because I’ve never heard of Russia as third world. I know most of the former Soviet bloc is third world, but I’ve never heard of Russia being third world. I agree about their military having used some stolen tech, that’s how they developed the jet engines for the original MiG-15. They simply stole/copied the design from Rolls Royce,

13 reasons why is Russia 3rd world country

Traveling in Russia is problematic not because you rave between 1st and 3rd world all the time, because 2nd one dissapeared with the fall of USSR, the problem is more likely the fact that Russia has all the disadvantages of the 3rd world country and only few of its advantages. In short; its not easy to advertise Russia as tourist location: you pay unbelivable money for wretched services.

One of the undeniable advantages of travelling in 3rd world countries is price accessability. When you sleep in south-east asia in cheap hotel, where you smell garbage though, but the room cost 350czk (cca 21$) but its part of the adventure. When you pay 3500czk (cca 219$) for similar room in Petrohrad, its still interesting experience but not as poetic. When you pay high prices, you expect appropriate services, and those just arent in Russia.

Russia is trying to convince everyone and the most importantly itself that its highly developed country. Moscow, the most expensive city of the world, is full of brand shops, lexury cars, museums are full of first-class collections…you can have sushi on every corner as easily as you can connect on wi-fi. The night life is comparable with London. They ve got quality schools aswell.

But when you look closer, you ll find that you can buy graduateship from Lomonosovs university at the dealer in underway for few thousands, that night life is opened only for nice or rich, preferably both, that one street is nice and shiny but the other is full of mud and garbage; you ll find out that brand, luxury goods can afort only small fragment of population.

Here are 13 of my, wholly subjective, reasons why is Russia 3rd world country:

    1. You cant drink wather from water pipes on many places.¨

    2. There is high % of people smoking (about 60% of adult population). Its still “cool” overthere while in the developed countries the % of smokers is decreasing. For comparation, Malboro packet cost about 30czk (cca 2$).

    3. Few people can speak any other language than russian. And there is no international marking in underway or restaurants.

    4. Doubtful sewerage.

    5. Smog, dirt and poor environment. Combination of cars without catalyzers and cheap gas.

    6. Mass emigration. The fact that people are leaving their home country without intention of return is never good sign.

    7. Police state and other violations of human rights. You cant see disabled people on the streets because they re all in asylums. Liberty of press is minimal. Police interfere with everything; even tourists have to register in police if you want to stay more than 3 days.

    8. People dont live long. Attribute is connected to bad health care, lack of information and cheap vodka.

    9. Spread kiosks because restaurants and bars arent aviable for most of the people.

    10. High popularity of pretentious prosperity display goods, real or not. Shiny jewellery, leopard clothing…

    11. Rudeness.

    12. Non-existing middle class. Either bentley or lada.

    13. And ofcourse, exenophobia.

I dont wanna insult any particular persons. Its just my opinion

I hope this is a really good product my concerns are with customer service after the purchase. It sounds like it will be costly. HOW many products are exported from Russia other than vodka.? Living in New York and conversing with many imigrant russians whom have fled their native country for good gives me great doubt. I pasted 13 reasons why russia is a third world country from someone who has traveled in russia . I mean no disrespect to russians but i feel compelled to ask my fellow hobbist to be carefull about spending big bucks on poorly know products , we have all heard, “all that glitters is not gold”

Are you serious! You copied this from somebody else, and it specifically says that it’s “wholly subjective”. The person that wrote it has obviously never been to Russia and the entire thing was ripped apart. A high %age of smokers makes it a third world country! You better not tell Europeans about that one and if you think that having water that you cannot drink makes a place third world (even though you can drink the water in most of Russia), then a lot of Europe would be third world. Third world is Somalia, Libya, Ethiopia. You may not like Russia, but it’s less third world than China, but I’m sure you have plenty of electronics from China, and next time think for yourself instead of posting someone else’s ignorant comments.

This guy is obviously either high on something or has a serious mental problem.

@Patrick: This blog is about news in the aquarium business. Keep your opinions about a country to yourself. Noone wants to read this ****

Hold on you ask me why russia is a 3rd world country[ I thought it would be better to get another opinion ] and while I agree smoking has nothing to do wiith it he makes some good points.I lived in italy for 6 years and never had problems with finding drinking water , which m sure it isnt a promlem in western EUROPE .Im not trying to be political nor do I want to discuss or bash russia.. I have concerns about product reliablity . Many chinese products are exported and are junk in fact its estimated that 50 of chinese products such as flash lights fail., and how simple is it to make a flash light. I have bought the 2 pack and only 1 has worked ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS.
If you want to purchase this product go right ahead its you money. Im just cautious do to past experiences. If you belive in russian technology buy it.
loannis Im not high or have mental issues I have a much different prospective on the world than you do, and had you not voiced youre stupid jugemental opinon in the first place this discussion would have never gone to this depth.
