Scheduled Maintenance this weekend

By on Aug 07, 2012

We will be performing scheduled maintenance this Saturday, August 11 from 6-10pm central standard time. The Reef Builders network will not be accessible while we are doing this maintenance. As such you should plan accordingly this weekend. We don’t foresee the maintenance lasting past 10pm and should be up back shortly thereafter. In the meantime, you might ask your significant other what they had already planned for you. We bet it wasn’t working on your reef tank.

But you never post anything on the weekends anyway. Which disapoints me when I am board on Saturdays! Maybe some one can do freelance for you on weekends.

There’s definitely a lot more kinds of content that RB could do, not necessarily just on the weekends, either. More editorials or commentary about the hobby/industry and the forces that effect it. How about “Tank/project of the week,” with a link to a thread on one of the many forums out there about a build that the contributors find interesting. Weekly “Ask Reefbuilders” where they post a reader mid-skill level question about technique or products with each RB contributor briefly giving their opinion and experience, followed by tons of comments by readers. A question might be, “A lot of new food products are available now that weren’t only five years ago…what products do you prefer to feed your reef and why?” everyone will have a little different answer and it will be interesting and conversations in the comments would drive pageviews.
