Cubic Aquarium looks to Polyplab for distribution in the American market

By on Jan 25, 2013

There’s been a lot of hustle and bustle at Polyplab lately with the release of Reef-Roids Nano and Orca Labs NitraGuard BioCubes and now they’re going for the jellyfish tank market. Polyplab has been named the exclusive North American distributor for Cubic Aquarium products, the first of which we’ll see is the ultra-modern Jellyfish Cube.

Built into a beautiful peninsular wedge of acrylic, the 20 gallon Cubic Aquarium has gently bent, rounded corners to allow Jellies to circulate safely in the kreisel-like environment. This model has dimensions of 60 x 66 x 26 cm (24 x 26 x 9 inches wide) holding approximately 80 liters and it comes with all the equipment needed including a circulation pump and remote controlled color-changing LEDs.

It looks as a logical move for Polyplab and a great opportunity to offer an exotic piece of design both in the Cubic aquarium and the jellyfish animals it will hold. We still need to learn a lot more about Jellyfish and the way to keep them healthy and vibrant in a close environment. Jellyfish feed entirely by filtering the water column or by catching passing organism in the hair near is mouth and Polyplab could have some synergy on their hands if ReefRoids could provide a suitable food for at least some species.

This high-class piece of designer fashion aquarium is expected to retail somewhere in the neighborhood of $1200, yet it has not yet been announced if that will include a voucher for live jellyfish, but we have faith that Polyplab is laying down some groundwork for their buyers to acquire live Jellyfish.
