This saltwater tank is built into a custom made pool house located in Lincoln Park, Chicago. Now at first glance it is an impressive concept, but you make quickly find yourself realizing how basic the content of the aquarium is featuring fish only with fake decor.
This is the realistic and negative result of its amazing location affixed above a pool, but in the dead center of natural sunlight. For this reason and the warm temperatures, a pool house may just be the furthest from ideal location for a fish tank.
Tank It Easy is a Chicago based aquarium design and maintenance company credited for keeping it looking as spotless as it does. They use a chiller to keep it at a cool temperature and clean it on a weekly basis to control the algae build up.
Since opening their doors only a few years ago Tank It Easy has grown to be a premier local fish store. Basic aquariums constitute many of the tanks they service, but they also do freshwater tanks, as well as full on reef tanks such as this medical room’s reef tank.
Their ability to provide either side of the consumer spectrum, and large dedicated full time service staff attributes to their success. Tank It Easy does have a beautiful but small retail store, but their business takes the conventional local fish store business model and turns it upside down.
