Each year MASNA members nominate outstanding individuals who have contributed to the hobby and improved our knowledge of the captive marine environment for the MASNA Aquarist of the Year award. The award is presented at MACNA, during the Saturday banquet. Last years winner, Joe Yaiullo, joined a renowned group of authors, speakers, breeders and reefing contributors.
There remains only a few more days in which to nominate an individual who you believe has contributed to our shared passion, marine aquarium keeping. Nominations must me submitted by April 30th, 2017 on the MASNA website at http://masna.org/masna-programs/aquarist-of-the-year/. If you aren’t yet a MASNA member, join now and help support both MASNA and the hobby. Each MASNA member may nominate up to three individuals for this award.
The Aquarist of the Year nominees are reviewed by a panel of previous MASNA award winners who ultimately select the winner. The results are kept confidential till MACNA 2017, which is being held this year from August 25-27, 2017 in New Orleans, LA.
How many names do you recognize from the list below? Who do you believe should be added to this list for their contributions to our hobby? Now it is your chance to nominate the person who has impacted you the most and advanced the success and enjoyment of your marine aquarium.
