Mr. Reed, 90, former chairman and chief executive officer of Santa Fe Industries, died of natural causes Saturday, March 15, in his Lake Forest home. Mr. Reed served on the aquarium’s board for 47 years and as president from 1984 to 1994. He oversaw the addition of its popular Oceanarium, which brought the first whales and dolphins to an inland aquarium, Ralph said.
