The title says it all, which is better? The tried and tested German pumps, or the newcomer from Pennsylvania that is ecotech marine. They both use the propeller style design, for the record the Tunze was the first aquarium powerhead to utilize this efficient propeller design, however the vortech powerhead might have improved on this a bit by doing away with the motor directly submerged in the water. We want you to tell us which you prefer, Tunze or Vortech? Respond in comments. Also we left out hydor’s for a future article series. -ed
