You know a company is paying attention to the demands of hobbyists across the world when they take feedback given to them about a particular product, in this example Red Sea’s Max 130. For those of you who don’t know the Max 130 is the orginal Red Sea 34 gallon aquarium and we did a hands on it too. What exactly did they change for the better on the deluxe system? According to hype coming straight from the horses mouth: “ higher performance skimmer with 20%+ more air injection and a really neat foam adjuster to allow you to set the foam level/type and skim more efficiently. Also has a great new surface skimmer, water level window in the filter, higher PAR lighting, great new cabinet design, deeper trim, full hood opening”. Interestingly we checked the 130D’s specs and didn’t see any difference except for a few minor things. A accessory kit allows you to add a chiller easily, and the overflow has been clearly redesigned. When will this hit our US shores? Most likely in November and if we were betting, we’d wager that Red Sea’s Max 250’s will be in the same shipping container.
