Hydor released their new Pico Mini pumps for the world to get a look see at. The pumps, like their name suggest are small, very small, almost a nano size. Coming in a variety of sizes (models: 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200) the model 200 sips on a ridiculously low 4.5 watts shooting out 270 lph (71 GPH) while model 1200 eats a still-low 7 watts and pushing water at 1120 lph (295 GPH). These pumps have an adjustable water control knob on them which makes perfecting them that much easier. Another great feature are that these pumps don’t require a lot of free standing water in which to work which gives us the idea of a nano top off pump for starters. These having begun arriving in UK stores, but we haven’t seen any of these pumps appear over here in the US yet.
