ATB has been working on an external cone skimmer for some time now and we can finally bring you first imagery of it. The skimmer uses a flowstar pump that we have covered in times past, however this new line of skimmers has several new features. One of the biggest has to be adding a float switch to the collection cup, the switch will activate when the collection cup is full and it will turn your pump off. This prevents an overflow of the collection cup and the resulting mess. Another feature is the available addition of ozone via the flowstar pump. This skimmer is rated up to 490 gallons and prices being tossed around are north of $1500. We have no idea when/if this model will make it to the US, but perhaps if we are lucky it will. You can look at all the photos of this skimmer below.
