Less than a year ago, there weren’t to many options for those of us that had a nano aquarium and wanted a better skimmer. Generally speaking, the stock skimmers included in nano aquariums (if they even include a skimmer) aren’t the best built. Most companies are trying to cut costs while delivering an overall product that still meets a specific price point. Thankfully other companies such as Euro Reef and now Sapphire Aquatics have outed nano skimmers to upgrade our nano aquariums. This nano skimmer is made for Current’s Solana or Cardiff nano aquariums. The design is based off their NC12 model with the other difference being is they have included a stand to achieve the proper height. The best part of all this? The skimmer fits perfectly in either aquarium and nothing needs to be trimmed, unlike some of the Euro Reef nano skimmers. This guy retails for $130
