If you were one of the poor fools (myself included) that was suckered into watching Planet Earth and drooling repeatedly then you might want to take a look at the Illustrated Atlas to Oceans. Your nose will be glued to the pages as you’ll be able to browse through over 250 different maps, photographs and satellite images. “Deep-sea pioneer and National Geographic Explorer-in-Residence Sylvia A. Earle (known as “Her Deepness”) and marine scientist Linda K. Glover guide the adventure, in consultation with experts from NASA and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration—who welcome the publication of a comprehensive ocean atlas geared to popular readers.” At over 350 pages (most of those dedicated to images) this would make a great coffee table book for discussion. You can drop $40 on this book over at amazon.
