The Octopus Horizon T5/LED lighting has been around for some time now, the unit which is available in Australia and UK markets looks like a nice overall unit. The Horizon lighting fixture uses a mixture of T5 and LEDs to give your tank the light it needs. However, it is important to point out that the light produced from the LEDs themselves are for moonlight effects only, so this isn’t a hybrid T5/LED light that we have been hoping for. Rumors abound that some distributors are about to bring this model to the US in mid 2009 hopefully with a one year warranty as included on models in Australia and the United Kingdom. Models include 2ft, 3ft and 4ft with the longest 4ft model topping out at 4×54 watt performance which sells locally for about $325AUS ($209). Now, for that price we have something to get excited about.
