While drooling at the spy shots we brought you of the upcoming new deltec skimmer, you might like to know additional tidbits out swirling around the reef rumor mill. Besides the obvious new bubble diffuser that was revealed there seems to be a new pump being utilized on this model. The pump is said to get over 1500 lph at only 25 watts with the European 230v model, something that makes us smile. Another rumor points to Deltec having a completely new skimmer line which is still being worked on deep within the Deltec factory, something that seems more plausible then just a new pump being produced which the spy shots hint at. Typically, German companies are very secretive about their new products and its no wonder then that very few of this has been confirmed, we did however find a photo gallery with more photos of the new pump in action along with the image saying: “This contains the new prototype skimmer which is the equivalent of the AP1004 but has only 2 new Deltec pumps rather than the 4 Eheim 1260’s.” Suddenly, it appears that rumor has turned into reality.
