That small cone skimmer we spied last week appears to be a new skimmer from Aquarium Technik Burian that will be one of the smallest skimmers from ATB. The new skimmer from ATB uses injection molded plastic to form the cone which is the same technique that is used on the Vertex OEM kone skimmers from Royal Exclusiv. There are several rumors about the specifications of pumps with either a Eheim 1250 or Aquabee pump powering it with a top aquarium rating of under 100 gallons. Beta testing should start in a few weeks and we would expect this to be available in the fall at the earliest unless beta testing completes ahead of schedule. With this new and rumored information though we have more questions like: What is the price point? What is the airflow rate and can we get this in either red or white? Until we hear these details we will have to sit and wait patiently until we get our answers. We don’t have much patience ATB, okay?
