If you been watching the news at all you’ve most likely heard about the current flight ban from the Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland. The steam and ash has created a serious problem in the UK and in Europe. This is also affecting the saltwater industry. Several thousand fish and livestock have been waiting at export stations across the world waiting to be sent on to the EU countries. In fact some fish and corals had already been shipped from the home locations to holding stations. This adds stress to fish and corals giving them a lower chance of survival. Whats more is that the selection of corals and fish in the EU is “pretty bad” and worsening because of the flight ban. With any flights being allowed to land with the newly created zones are being filled with other more important packages besides livestock. With the Eyjafjallajökull volcano said to be increasing in strength who knows when this will end. The last time this volcano erupted was in 1821 and it erupted for more than 2 years.
