Hanna Instruments popular “Hanna Checker” line of colorimeters are set to get expanded into other water parameters. With the President of Hanna Instruments Martino touting on a reef forum that “Alkalinity, Calcium, and Nitrate” are in the works with possible more options shortly thereafter. This was a follow up to their latest release including their Hanna Checker Phosphate colorimeter along with their ultra low range phosphate model. Is the digital age finally upon us aquarists? It certainly looks like it is. Expect to see official product announcements here in July about the new Alkalinity, Calcium, and Nitrate colorimeters. Pricing should be in line with other options in the $50 range. We can already hear our test tubes crying. Can you?
