Do you remember the Max S500 from Red Sea? We were at Interzoo covering the event and Red Sea displayed it at their booth. Apparently that model was a pre-production model, meaning that the design is still undergoing changes. They wanted their top customers to look at the Max S500, give them some needed suggestions and then Red Sea had planned to incorporate the changes back into their production run. That production run, we’ve learned from multiple sources, isn’t going to start until “sometime in 2011”. The best case scenario is first quarter of 2011 which can mean as late as March 2011. So if you were one of the several thousand that are interested in the all-in-one-aquarium, we hope you enjoy waiting patiently. Early estimates peg the system to be around $3000 US. With German clientele getting first crack at the Max S500 as was the case with the Red Sea Max 250.
Red Sea Max 500 won’t start production until 2011
