Pacific Sun just announced their new T5 + LED Pandora XM lighting fixture that has Cree XM-L on board as well as the tried and true T5s. This Pandora XM lamp includes everything that Pacific Sun has learned in the past two years bundled into one package. The lamp uses the latest Cree XM-L installed with a total of three LED panels (with a power input to 150 watts) and holds 4 bulbs in the T5 variety supporting 54 watts. The T5 lamps are controllable with a built in controller that is located in this sleek fixture which allows you to play God to your heart’s content. Like other Pacific Sun systems there are full wireless communications between the lamp and computer systems that provide programmed sunrise / sunset, PAR, lunar illumination. The unit is measured at 1250 x 400 x 50mm (49.21″ x 15.7″ x 1.96″) and comes with full hanging kit including spider mounts, and power supply. What about the LEDs? Each LED panel is made up of 12 XM Cree-L (up to 10w each) 6 royal blue (up to 3.3w each) 7 Cree XP-E blue (up to 3.3w each) which brings the total power consumed by the panel at about 150 watts. Pacific Sun states that one LED panel is the equivalent to 250-300w HQI. Very bright! We are told that these will be shipping at the end of June to distributors and if you are interested contact your local Pacific Sun retailer. We should have PAR readings shortly as well as a suggested retail price.
