We first came across the modern Mediterranean inspired IFALOS aquariums at Global Pet Expo and were excited to get a first hand look at their newest drop off designs. IFALOS aquariums are created by Greek Architect Ioannis Tsakirdis to stand out in any interior space.
The IFALOS aquariums are built with sophisticated style right down to the mitered edges of the aquarium doors. IFALOS is more fashion than function and are sold as a bare bones canvas which includes the aquarium, stand, LED lighting, and a glass sump.
For InterZoo 2016 Ifalos debuted a number of incredibly original designs for multi-sided glass aquariums with wild dimensions. We especially loved both of the new dropoff designs. The Reverse slanted drop off aquarium sure does stand out but the drop-off + L-shaped tank wins the prize.
The slanted tank named Milos is a take on the classic dropoff with a simple yet elegant slanted wall. The L shaped drops off named Seriphos (both named after Greek Islands) have a unique dropoff which come out from the front of the aquarium and gives viewers a unique perspective from all sides.
The dramatic angles and combination of drop off section is simply unlike anything available on the market and probably very tricky to clean, and trickier to clean. The cabinets are customizable and come in black, brown, tan, red and white, and a new IFALOS aquarium will cost you around 2,500 Euros.
