The MindStream is just about one of the most highly anticipated marine aquarium products we’ve ever had the pleasure of writing about. However, the MindStream is a device which has been cooking in the oven for a really long time.
If it seems like it’s taking forever for MindStream to finally push out a product, you can imagine how eager Step Ahead Innovations is to get their water monitor out the door. Thankfully, despite some minor setbacks the crew has been working hard to get all their ducks in a row for a smooth successful launch.
Despite years of testing designing and engineering, the team has continued to refine their product, with even better plastic housing, improved cleaning brushes, and a streamlined production process for the sensor discs. The MindStream is at a point where the development is almost complete and the company is turning its attention to actually producing the units.
It seems like we’ve gotten the first solid pricing numbers for the MindStream since the KickStarter campaign. The MindStream is expected to launch for less than $900 and the replacement discs will be sold as a subscription service for $35 a month. We know this sounds like a lot of money, and it is, but if there’s one product in which we have faith that it will deliver nearly a thousand dollars worth of value and performance, the MindStream is it. Finally, Step Ahead Innovations has also given us the first firm released window for the MindStream which will be between April and May of next year.
