The new Eshopps Lotus is a unique way to showcase over 50 frags in a small footprint. Fragging is an essential part of the hobby and once we get bit by the coral bug, we want to collect and display our goodies. But the problem comes when we want to steer away from the white eggcrate systems. Frag racks are abundant but we mostly end up with the need for more space.
The Eshopps Lotus is a unique tower of four sections that look like lily pads of varying sizes that is aiming for a more sophisticated look. In fact, each layer is named a Lily and each one has holes to accept 13 frags. One complete Lotus system will hold up to 52 frag plugs so you can easily move them around.
The stacking design allows you to move your frags around based on their lighting and flow needs and get around the flat, linear look of the eggcrate system. Each rod is 1 1/2 in. long and each Lily is 5 1/2 x 4 in. in size. So if you extended each Lily 90 degrees from each other, the total footprint would really only be about 12 x 10 in. and about 7 in. tall.
The Eshopps Lotus is available now and retails for around $39.99.
