The Recurve LED is easily one of the most exciting new LED lights in a long time, and certainly of 2017, and we’ve got the whole scoop on this new reef aquarium tech. We’ve gotten a look at this fixture on a dry tank at Reefapalooza about a month back but now we’ve got all the details to fill all our burning questions.
So we knew that the Recurve would be available in three sizes, but now we’ve got a better idea on pricing, tech specs, and a general release date. Maxspect has shipped the Recurve to distributors and should begin spreading out to retailers in about a month.
The three models of the Recurve include the R6-60, 60 cm or two feet long and $799, the three foot R6-90 at 90 cm and $999 and the biggest one, the R6-120 will be four feet long, with double the power of the R6-60 but priced at $1299. There’s a full breakdown of the other granular details of the Maxspect Recurve LED in the video below so give it a watch, and we can’t wait to see how those adjustable wings work in practice over real live corals.
