Indigo Industries BZ-D
Indigo industries introduced a new line of BCD’s with some illuminating features. The new BC, or BZ as they call them use magnetic MATIC locking system for attaching the BCD to a dive cylinder, and also for fastening clips on the BCD back, chest, waist, shoulders and weight pockets.
This was a tricky one to photograph because you really need to see these magnets in action. we got you covered with this quick clip demonstrating the magnetic locking feature.
The magnets are designed to come together and lock in place, but you need to apply force to disconnect the two sides. You don’t need to worry about the attachments coming loose underwater, it actually requires considerable force to unlock the tank for a BCD. To set up you just attach the male side of the magnetic BCD clip to your tank, using a standard woven cinch band which is included in the package.
Clips on the front of the BCD can be disconnected by twisting the two sides in opposite directions and then pulling apart. And you can easily connect the buckles with one hand.
The BZ-Delta and DZ-Zulu are two new jackets that feature this MATIC locking system, and will also be available to front and rear facing LED lights that can provide a total of 2,000 lumens of white or colored light. Dive guides or buddies can choose to select a different color making them easy to see and follow underwater.
Both BCD will retail for $924.00 and will be available in March 2018.
