The Weeping Willow leather coral is one of the oldest yet least understood soft coral strains in the reef aquarium hobby. Originating at least as far back as the year 2000, this exceptional strain of Sarcophyton ehrenbergi is known for its unusually long and graceful polyps which can extend up to four inches long.
In an effort to shed more light on this special soft coral we’ve put together a video which focuses solely on the weeping willow toadstool. With most of the hobby fixated on psychedelic fluorescent coral fragments, it’s nice to know that a pinkish brown strain like the Weeping Willow can garner attention for its unique ‘flowyness’ and graceful polyps.
