When public aquariums were forced to close their doors Piscine Energetics answered the call organizing a weekly private zoom chat called Quarantining with Curators. These zoom chats were exclusive for public aquarium curators and staff, however, for the next two weeks, the general public is invited to attend their latest series called Women of the Water.
Starting tomorrow tune in to hear live talks by women in the Aquarium Industry, Marine Research, Diving, Cave Mapping, and Animal Care.
Upcoming talks include Tuesday It’s A Long Way Down… To Become A Display and Dive Manager – Wibke Jansen. Wednesday Dive Like A Girl – Cristina Zenato – 12:00 – Diving In The Desert – Hilary Jaffe.
Have you ever wanted to dive with sharks? Have you ever wanted to work in an aquarium? Have you ever thought you couldn’t be part of the underwater world? Do you have or know a little girl who loves the ocean?
Piscine Energetics is proud to present a week of live talks by women in the Aquarium Industry, Marine Research, Diving, Cave Mapping, and Animal Care. This week is an exclusive invitation for the public to be a part of the Quarantining with Curators series.
QwC is an Aquarium Industry facing webinar series that was launched in response to COVID-19 cancellations of industry events. As any aspiring scientist, aquarist, or researcher knows, sharing information is vital to the health of scientific work.
It is important to share this work, stories and passions of some of the women involved in the aquatic world with YOU in order to encourage and inspire the next generation. These talks will be broadcast live on the Piscine Energetics Facebook Page.
