After testing a few episodes – which we like to call sessions. We’re officially launching Reef Therapy our new podcast format to our global audience. For those of you keeping score at home, home office, or office we did not invent podcasts but we were the first ones to launch a podcast way back in 2009 for the saltwater aquatics industry.
At the time we were too early. People just weren’t ready to listen to podcasts but fast forward and our technology has advanced and it turns out people like listening to podcasts now. We believe the non-linear format where you can listen at your own pace without having to set time aside from your busy schedule is very important. Our weekly hosts will be Jake and Mark and the topics will change from week to week based on our own global content or requests from the global community of hobbyists, professionals, and industry insiders.
While we might record sessions in the future with a live audience in most cases these will be recorded and be available shortly on your favorite podcatcher. Our latest session dives into the world of common coral names. While we use scientific names in our studio Jake and Marc chat about how coral names have gone out of control. You can listen to Session #3 – Coral names matter below.
