We’re less than a month away from hosting ReefStock Australia for the first time since 2019 and the anticipation has been building up for literally a thousand days. On August 6 & 7th the biggest reef aquarium conference in Australia will be going down at the Sydney Showground with a much bigger floor plan to accomodate more vendors, more manufacturers, and a whole lot more corals than we we’ve ever had before.
ReefStock Denver was a huge hit this year and if you were fortunate enough to see us in Colorado you know the kind of big Reef Energy the Reef Builders team brings to their events. We’re expecting some great new products from many of our event sponsors including Dalua Australia, Cade Aquariums, and Hanna Instruments and we cannot wait to see the kinds of corals that the aquarium stores and collectors have been saving up for most of this year – the Australian coral scene is premium grade across all of the country’s vendors but the cherry picked corals among these will certainly turn some heads at ReefStock Australia.
In addition to all the great vendor and exhibitor booths this year we’ve doubled down on the educational segment of ReefStock Australia with six presentations scheduled from aquarium and industry experts from across the country. We look forward to learning about the collecting of wild Aussie corals from Corals Down Under, Triton is going to share some of their data from chemistry of reef tanks around the world, Gallery Aquatica will be performing a live coral fragging demo, and Anthony ‘Tonez’ Blinoff is launching a new platform for aquarium NFTs and how they can be used across the hobby for fun and creative purposes.
More than any of the official ReefStock segments we mostly look forward to visiting with our Australian reefing family and discovering what they’ve been up to since before the pandemic started. The most popular aquarium personalities from Australia will also be in attendance including Two Gay Reefers, Parker’s Reef, First Time Reefer TV and many more that we can’t wait to see again.
Australia is truly one of the most special communities of reef aquarium culture and it’s no coincidence that we selected this unique country as the location of our second ReefStock conference. It’s been far too long since we’ve communed with the stores, brands and reefers of the land down under and we hope to see everyone the first weekend of August in Sydney.
