Polish reef equipment company Reef Factory has released its second generation of dosing pumps, the Dosing Pump Pro. Available as a single-head X1, or a four-head X4, Dosing Pump Pro comes with a new design incorporating new stepper motors (this time designed by Reef Factory,) which are capable of dosing up to 48 times per day, are bidirectional, more accurate, quieter, and with better tubing than before. A DIN rail mount is included with every doser and the stepper motors attach to a small, slick-looking 2.6” block. They work either on their own, with KH Keeper Plus, or the new Smart Tester.
A big draw for many Reef Factory users however is the app, incorporating the Smart Reef 360 Method and the ability to use a Reef Factory Dosing Pump and their Reef Minerals to correct water autonomously based on a Reef Factory ICP test. This ability to test and then correct via dosing all within the one ecosystem is very appealing and offers a glimpse of the future for all who love to monitor and control, with an increasing number of parameters being rolled out either via Reef Factory’s Smart Tester, ICP tests or liquid test kits.
Part of what makes the Reef Factory app such a smooth operator is the injection of expertise that came from a founder with a very successful background in the gaming industry.
