Biscayne National Park in Homestead, Florida is looking to fill two internship positions in the park’s Habitat Restoration Program. The internships will focus on outplanting corals, restoring storm-damaged corals, treating diseased corals, collecting coral gametes from spawning corals, and removing marine debris from park reefs. Applicants must be SCUBA certified and have scientific diving experience.

- Segal AmeriCorps Education Award of $7,395.00 upon successful completion of position.
- Living Allowance of $665.00 per week.
- Relocation Allowance of $400.00 distributed as a one-time lump sum
- Student Loan Forbearance if applicable (administered by MyAmeriCorps, directly).
- Student Loan Interest Payments if applicable (administered through MyAmeriCorps, directly).

If I’m reading it right, the position pays $42k/year plus health insurance and the possibility of student loan forbearance/interest payments. I’ve definitely had worse jobs with even worse pay!
