220v/50hz Swabbies shipping worldwide

When we first laid eyes on Avast Marine’s Swabbie we were very impressed with the economic pricing and high quality craftmanship. Unfortunately for the international crowd, at the time they were only available in the 110v US version. Well International fans rejoice because Avast will be shipping 220v/50hz versions with EU and UK plug types by the end of this month. The Swabbies will be the same product and can be custom made as usual only with a different voltage motor. It is great to see an innovative company like Avast Marine slowly starting to distribute their US-made products worldwide. Hooray for cleaner skimmer necks everywhere.

    That’s great news for many! AVAST Marine is a great new company and carries great product at affordable prices! No I don’t work for them I am just a happy customer. Wish I could buy stock in them though! HA!

    I love my swabbie. Initial setup and getting it set was a bit challenging, but once in the right spot it works great.

    The only part of the swabbie I would change would be to put a quick disconnect for the power so you don’t have to unplug it everytime you want to remove the lid to clean.
