Well it seems that Warner Marine is no longer content simply to provide pharmaceutical grade additives for your reef tank as they dived head first into the equipment business with dozens of new protein skimmers. Although the many different models may be bewildering to the consumer, careful observation of the different skimmer lines reveal an incremental addition of features from the most basic in-sump skimmer, to the most tricked-out multi-pump recirculating models. FWIW, the craftsmanship appears solid, the bayonnet fitting included on all models will allow for zero clearance cup removal and the plethora of valves and unions should make servicing these units a breeze. Other features include columnating plates, air intake muffler and and a flanged, conical neck for getting all up in the skimmer for maintenance. The only accessory which seems a little passe is the gate valve for water height adjustment as most needle-wheel skimmers have integrated adjustment in the standpipe nowadays. Furthermore, the use of modified Sedra pumps and unmodified Eheims is an interesting departure from other skimmers which use stock Sedras or modified Eheims. Hey Warner, are all of these components still pharmaceutical grade?
