While you probably haven’t seen it, the Fauna Marine LED lighting system is alive and well over in the mother reef country that is Germany. The system which promises to be able to program just about any combination of modes has seen limited acceptence over there, most likely for the 1,962 euro ($2,443) ticket it will cost you to have bragging rights. These systems were first spied at Interzoo earlier this year and you won’t see one in the US or UK unless you imported it in from a specialty reef store. One unit will sip on 160 watts while shining down on your reef. There are bragging rights, then there are bragging rights, this unit will no doubt fall into the later category for those of you who can afford it. For the rest of us, were not going to complain about having something to lust for, okay?
