If you’ve been left in the double ended dust but clammoring for the greater wealth of bulb flavors that DE halide bulbs offer, Phoenix lighting has just made your day. The highly popular Phoenix 14K which is a favorite of DE halide users (ourselves included) has just been ported to the classic mogul base. The only downside is that the new port to the old mogul base form factor will cost you about a $30 premium! the DE Phoenix 14k typically runs about $60 and $70 for 150 and 250W respectively whereas the SE Phoenix 14k is selling for $89 and $99, before shipping. That’s steep if you ask us but since this lamp is widely used we don’t think that the bulbs will have any trouble selling. The 175w lamp is available now at Marine Depot and the 250W can be found at Fins Depot and Blue Water Corals.
