The new plasma light that is still being tested by Aqua Illumination was mounted above a tank and the lighting unit looks to be very bright. The emitter that is used in the unit is a Luxim STA-40 plasma lamp with the popular Lumenarc reflector. Par numbers for this unit have been reported at Just below the surface ~ 300-350 8″ below the surface ~ 200-250 at the bottom of the 26″ tank 75-100.
